It's already winter in Lima located in the Southern Hemisphere. Even in day time, the sunshine is dim. Peru belongs to the desert climate, so that it rains rarely and there is no great change in weather during all the year, except difference of temperature. So, it is good for preaching despite much dust.

Peru's location and season is diametrically opposite to those of Korea. Besides, their custom is opposite. Let me show you an interesting example. Rice is the staple food for Koreans. As for Koreans, it may be difficult to taste the rice boiled with sugar and milk. But, the Peruvians like the sweety rice.

To the contrary, the Peruvians who like potato and use it in almost all food do not understand Koreans who eat boiled potato with sugar. They say, "How can you eat sweety potato?"

Nevertheless, the 1st Lima Zion bears fruit abundantly, being united beyond the barriers of culture. It is thanks to the favor of Father and Mother.

For the past hundreds years, many countries in Southern America were exploited by Spain, and their religion is Catholicism the national religion of Spain. Especially Peru was the center of their plunder. From its capital city Lima even to the remote countrysides, all the nation is covered with the images of cross and many saints, like traces of their plunder. This country had been utterly trampled by Satan and spiritually impoverished until the light of truth shined on it.

Our God shined the light on His children who were dying in a far country in the darkness without knowing the truth. Oh, our Father and Mother saved us who were doomed to die for our sins, by tearing Their flesh and shedding Their blood. Now, we Peruvian members realize our heavenly Father and Mother's great love and go out to seek for our lost brother and sisters today, too.

It was 2003 January when we heard a very glad news that our Peruvian members could participate in the Bible Seminar at the Elohim Training Institute in Korea. Among many applicants, 8 leaders were chosen from each group of men, women and youths. The chosen ones rightly began to prepare the visit to Korea.

As the day to depart drew near, the members got excited. In the thought of meeting Mother who's come to save us, on their faces always bloomed a big smile.

Their minds seemed to be in Korea already though their bodies were in Peru yet. For the three weeks before the departure, they learned Korean language and simple greetings, and practiced new songs with thanksgiving heart every Sunday.

At last, our departure day came. After finishing all the Sabbath worships, we set out on our long journey to Korea. The remnant members came to the airport to see us off. We were scheduled to fly to Korea via L.A. and Japan. It was to take two days.

We waited many hours to transfer to other planes, and the planes were delayed, and some of us suffered airsickness. Though we faced many unexpected difficulties, no one thought it was troublesome. Earnestly praying to safely arrive in the land where Mother dwell , we gave thanks to God who called sinners born afar.

We arrived in Korea 8 hours behind schedule. Seeing Korean brothers and sisters who were waiting for us until dawn, our eyes were filled with tears. The tears ran our faces as we saw Mother. Mother was anxiously waiting for us to arrive safely at the New Jerusalem Temple until the day broke. We felt Mother's love by our whole body. The fatigue from floight clearly disappeared, and only tears of thanks rolled down our faces.

Brother Mauro is very gentle at ordinary times. But when he saw Mother, he also burst into tears like a child. Every one was cut to the heart. He'd had many difficulties in preparing this visit for family reasons, so that he might be double-moved. And Sister Gabriel's case was the same. Though she underwent hardships, she was always bright at the Church. As she saw Mother, all her troublesome memories vanished. Mother received us with great and warm love and consoled our souls.

At the Elohim Training Institute, we studied the Bible until late at night. The first day passedt. Next day, we woke up in the early morning. Just then, white snow was falling down silently outside the window. The beautiful institute shined like a white jewel.

Mother blessed us, saying that if we came in spring, we would see beautiful flowers, but we came in winter, so Father gave us snow flowers. It was the Peruvian's first time to see snow. Being snowed, they sensed Father's great love and gave thanks to Him from the bottom of their hearts.

Through the Bible Seminar, we could know how precious the truths were which our Father Himself taught us, and how important and valuable it is to teach the truths correctly. From early morning, we attended the seminar and studied the Bible until 11 o'clock at night. That seemed not enough. The Peruvian members demonstrated their preaching each other at their lodge until daybreak. Right, they were the passionate South Americans. They are born with passion. Our Peruvian family sublimed their passion for the gospel. They preached the truths more boldly than in Peru. The Holy Spirit worked.

When we worshiped at the New Jerusalem Temple, we seemed to have service in the heavenly temple. Looking around the Elohim and Jeonyisan Training Institutes, we came to know all these were prepared only for us by our Father and Mother's love and sacrifice, and gave thanks to our Elohim.

We cannot forget the Korean brothers and sisters who welcomed us with open arms, greeting in just-learned Spanish, "God bless you," "Nice to meet you!" Though our languages and cultures are different from each other, we realized again we are one family who have inherited heavenly Father and Mother's blood.

The 2 weeks in Korea was like a dream. Mother took care of us wholeheartedly even in a very little thing. Returning to Peru, I said to myself again and again, that I would practice the love as I saw and learned from Mother.

On the day when we had to go back to Peru, our hearts were so broken that we could imagine our parting in heaven. However, we know our present separation is for the glorious days. We headed for Peru, leaving Mother and Korean brothers and sisters behind.

After experiencing Mother's boundless love, our preaching changed. Those who couldn't visit Korea this time heard Mother's words of the living water from us and became full of the Holy Spirit. We all devoted our selves to preaching. Whatever hardship and trial could not hinder our Holy Spirit Movement.

After one and half months, God showed us a wonderful work; over 80 persons were baptized and over 300 members kept the Passover. It is not long since we extended the Church, but it's already been too small for us. Many spiritual brothers and sisters are coming back to Father and Mother. We see the prophecy, "In its time I will do this swiftly," being fulfilled. Following the Mother's word, "Preach this precious truth to the dying souls," we, Peruvian members, are busy seeking for the lost brothers and sisters.

We will faithfully preach the truth not only to the Peruvians but also to the peoples suffering in other countries of South America. We truly hope the day comes quickly when all the heavenly family gather and never part again.

All brothers and sisters in the world, receive blessing from Father and Mother abundantly. May your days be filled with joy and thanks and bear much fruit!
