The Church of God held a dinner party for 96 countries which sent less than 5 athletes and for the countries for which an official welcome ceremony was not held. Over 400 athletes and staffs from 110 nations gathered together. And Zahng Gil-ja, President of New Life Welfare Corporation, Park Sang-ha, Executive President of the Daegu Universiade, Ha Jin-gyu, Secretary General of the Daegu Universiade also took seat in the party with Kim Joo-cheol, General Pastor of the Church of God.

Park Sang-ha, Executive President of the Daegu Universiade, gave words of thanks to the athletes and staffs who came to Korea from far off lands by transferring flights several times and to the Church of God hosting this party. And he hoped this kind of consideration for small countries would be spread more and more.

General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol told the athletes to remember Aurah Supporters who supported them hotter than the weather of Daegu city and also said, "Between the athletes who do their best with pure amateurism and the supporters who cheer with pure passion, the dream for unity is coming true."
Kim said, "We love you," with motion at the end of speech, and the athletes responded in the same motion.

Soon after cultural performances were held: New Life Welfare Children's' chorus, the Korean traditional percussion quartet "Samulnori," Korean folk song, Korean traditional dance, and classic songs. Athletes were busy taking pictures of cute children. And as missionary Kim Jae-hoon, who was once a popular singer, sang a song, "Unchained melody," they ardently responded, offering him flowers and putting a cap on him.

Over the barriers of race and nationality, they put arms around each other's shoulders and sang together, saying, "We love You!"
Some athletes including Jenny Daily from Jamaica were moved to tears. The little global village were filled with peace and joy.

After the cultural performances, dinner started. At every table, one or two interpreters were disposed and they talked about the last games and cheering and episodes in Daegu. They promised to keep in touch with each other, giving and taking phone numbers and addresses. Supporters and athletes seemed old friends, rather brothers and sisters reunited after a long time.

How did Korea impress the athletes through Aurah Supporters?
Women athletes and staffs from Pakistan and Nigeria who were wrapped in traditional costumes, Sweden staffs who were distinctive in white skin, white hair and white moustache and African athletes in traditional green custom with peculiar hatsall of them said, "Koreans are passionate with open mind."

Alwahdi Abdulla Ali Awad, Team Director of the United Arab Emirates said,
"The opening ceremony performance "WeU" touched my heart deeply. Koreans have warm heart and I feel at home." And he added, "Athletes could put up a good fight thanks to the supporters' shout."

The Church of God delivered athletes traditional percussion instrument shaped key holders and other souvenirs, hoping that they would remember Korea, Daegu city and Aurah Supporters. After taking commemorative photos, the party ended at 9.30 p.m.. Farewell was not easy. Shaking hands and hugging were not enough to bid farewell. Athletes turned back again and again; and supporters waved their hands until they couldn't see athletes' shuttle buses. Their friendship and love will never change even after the games.
