Before the autumn feasts when the gospel crops are harvested, nine remodeled Zions were dedicated to God. Beginning with the Hoideok Church in Daejeon on September 1, the Donggu Church and the Sannae Church in Daejeon, and the Nonsan Church had dedication services on the 5th, and so did the Gwangyang Church, the Boseong Church, the Eoyang Church in Yiksan, the Gimje Church, and the Seosin Church in Jeonju on the 10th and the 11th.
At the dedication services where members from neighboring churches were also present, Mother gave thanks to Father for granting large spiritual barns so that all the lost heavenly family members could be found and gathered. Mother also prayed that all the children would harvest gospel crops abundantly with the latter rain of the Holy Spirit during the autumn feasts. She praised those who worked hard until the church buildings were dedicated and said, “Realizing the will of God, who established the churches, let us all be united in love and lead many people to righteousness.”
General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol reminded the members that the right way God taught us is to obey the teachings of the Bible and lead all nations to the truth. Explaining an anecdote of Jesus, who defeated Satan’s temptations after fasting forty days and preached the good news of the kingdom, he said, “Although we may face some difficulties, let us overcome them and follow the right way that Christ walked first.” He also put an emphasis on church’s role—preaching love and salvation to the world, saying, “Everything is possible for him who believes. Let’s firmly believe that the glorious day we will inherit the great angelic world beyond our imagination is coming. Following the greatest command, ‘Make disciples of all nations and teach them to obey everything God has commanded you,’ let us do our best to save the world.”
In 2015, thirty-one churches had dedication ceremonies in Korea alone. The new churches being built in important places of each city of the nation prove the rapid growth of the Church of God and the gospel work.
“It seems that God has given us more spacious churches because there are many heavenly family members to be found around us,” said the members in unison after the dedication services. They expressed their determination with thanks and hope on their faces, “In order not to let God’s effort that has been made until today run to waste, we’ll become one in love and bear the fruit of unity.”
