Mark Gerzon, a UN advisor and the author of “Global Citizens,” visited Korea in 2011 and had a lecture on global leadership. In his lecture he mentioned “Mothering Leadership” as one of the solutions to global dilemmas.
The Church of God has been contributing to world peace and clean earth by practicing the “Mothering Leadership” that takes care of everyone with tender love and concern. By holding a Bible seminar day after day, the Church of God
is delivering a message of hope that “the great love of God the Mother can give peace and stability to the gloomy world.”
On Jan. 31st and Feb. 3rd, the Bible seminar for university students and young adults in the capital area was held at the Church of God in Gwanak, Seoul, and in the New Jerusalem Temple, Bundang, respectively. This event was planned by the Young Adult Department of the Church of God, and hosted by university student members and young adult members in each church branch.
Over 800 university students attended the “Bible Seminar for University Students 2013” that was held in the Gwanak Church in Seoul on Jan. 31st, and about 1,000 young adults attended the “Bible Seminar for Young Adults 2013” that was held in the New Jerusalem Temple in Bundang on Feb. 3rd.
The Bible seminar was made up of objective materials such as press reports, research reports, statistics, photos, videos, etc. And it proceeded with three subjects: “Feminism and God the Mother,” “Peace Maker of the Earth and the Necessity of Mother,” and “The World Changes Through Mother.” In each subject, two presenters made a presentation. Each presentation showed very plainly the existence of God the Mother who is testified in the Bible. They also suggested “God the Mother’s great love” as the only powerful solution that can give peace and stability to the global village where disputes and conflicts occur endlessly.
After the presentation, the participants watched the video, “People of the Church of God,” which has interviews of some Church of God members, who are famous experts in different fields, from around the world. Hearing their testimonies that they were able to live a new and more abundant life after meeting God the Mother, the university students and young adults reconfirmed the great love of God the Mother.
There was an event before the seminar. It was a chamber concert where they played “Por una Cabeza” and the new song “O Merciful God.” The octet of young adult members sang “Amazing Grace” and “Holy City” and inspired the whole audience. After the event, the participants gathered around and talked about the subjects of the seminar, having refreshments together.
